Wild Honeybee Blitz at the Galbreath Preserve

March 29 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm PDT

Free

Join us for a unique and exciting adventure in the wilderness of the Galbreath Wildlands Preserve! This inaugural Wild Honey Bee Blitz offers a chance to explore the oak woodlands and search for bee trees during warm, early spring days, just before the oaks have fully leafed out. Early spring conditions are ideal for tracking wild honey bee trees by walking among the trees and watching out for trees with bees. This method is an unconventional art of tracking bee trees and serves as an alternative to beelining, which we typically practice during the rest of the year. Be prepared for off-trail walking and the beauty of the Galbreath Wildlands.

More information will be shared after your RSVP.
