Regenerative Apiculture & Wilding I: Reframing Apiculture Through Wilding
March 20 @ 6:01 pm - 7:30 pm PDT
What fascinates us about the image of a wild honeybee nest in an old oak tree? We bridge the gap between human and non-human relations when we respond to our interest in honeybees, the connection inspires and motivates us. This course to Wilding welcomes participants into the community of free-living honeybees and self-willed ecological processes as a new foundation for a reframing of apiculture toward stewardship and conservation.
We will explore interdependant environments and follow apian agency. We engage in deep listening and curiosity as a pathway for a deeper understanding and building relationship. We will examine novel frameworks for health and core principles of ‘wilding’. The wild becomes our “compass point” for navigating the journey ahead.
- Wilding- self-willed ecological process;
- Cultivating awareness- curiosity, inquiry, observation, exploring edges, facing unknown, observer vs observed;
- Compass point- wild apian being
This live stream event promises to cultivate an environment conducive to interactive learning and robust discourse, fostering vibrant exchanges among participants irrespective of their level of beekeeping expertise.
