Arboreal Apiculture Salon #41

September 17, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

It will be an honor to have Dr. Jovana Bila Dubaić as our guest at the Salon. Jovana is an Assistant Professor at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Biology. Her research focuses on the ecology of bees particularly in the context of agroecology and urban ecology. In recent years, she has developed a special interest in free-living honey bees and their role in ecosystems. She often uses citizen science as a research approach, exploring how human and non-human worlds intertwine through the lives of bees. Beyond academia, Jovana actively engages the wider public through social media, public lectures, science events, and workshops. She is also a mother of three daughters.

Our private conversation with Jovana will be published as a podcast in late September.

The Arboreal Apiculture Salon offers a unique opportunity for the global arboreal apiculture community to connect and engage in symbiotic learning, share innovative ideas, and support one another. Join a multidisciplinary community from around the world for discussions and exchanges that foster a deeper connection to arboreal apiculture and apiology.

Co-hosted by Cheyanna Bone, Jonathan Powell (Natural Beekeeping Trust), and Michael Joshin Thiele (Apis Arborea).

The Salon is a free event, serving communities around the globe. If you would like more info or have a suggestion for a topic/ speaker, please send an email.
